Mercury Retrograde in Pisces: Time to Get Your OM On

Mercury turns retrograde in Pisces on Friday, February 27 — but if you’ve felt the mist rolling in since February 12, you’re not imagining things. The Cosmic Messenger has already been setting the stage.

From 22° Pisces back to 8° Pisces (through March 20), Mercury will retrace its steps, inviting you to pause and reflect on what has unfolded since its last retrograde in November.

Mercury’s advice?

Slow down. Review your life.

Notice where a breath of fresh air is needed.

Retrogrades are sacred “re” seasons — reconsider, reexamine, review, refine, repair, realign, and rejuvenate. Think of this one as an invitation for a creative renaissance. What possibilities might you entertain now that you wouldn’t have considered before?

Are there places where your heart is no longer invested? That’s often where life force leaks. What adjustments are needed? Bravely letting go of activities that no longer nourish your body, your mind, or your soul invites the new.

And also — notice what you are heartfully invested in that may be struggling. They’re merely asking for more loving attention.

Mercury in Pisces reminds us that consciousness precedes matter. The mind benefits from strength training during a retrograde in our recognition that thoughts shape experience.

An excellent mantra for this season:

The Force of infinite possibilities is within me.
It expresses through me, aligned with my beliefs and expectations.

If you feel immersed in a Piscean sea of uncertainty, don’t panic. Mercury is simply getting its OM on. In Pisces, the mind softens and aligns with truth and love. Head and heart begin to speak the same language. And from that coherence comes clarity about what truly deserves your mental bandwidth.

Meanwhile, reality-crafting Saturn and numinous Neptune are holding hands in Aries, whispering that the old paradigm of separation has expired. What if the real adventure is learning to live from unity? What if contrast and diversity are not problems to solve but miracles to celebrate? The opportunity to awaken to our multidimensional nature is here. And Mercury is supporting that process.

Here’s the practical magic:

Thoughts open us or close us.

“The Universe always has my back” opens us.
“I’m going to lose everything” closes us.

“I accept that others may choose differently” opens us.
“I hate that they disagree with me” closes us.

This Mercury retrograde is supporting us in recognizing where our mind’s habits close us.

If we commit to being awake, engaged, and present during this retrograde, we will know what needs adjusting. Even when day-to-day challenges feel relentless, they are invitations to remember our radiance and call it forth.

And yes — Mercury has a mischievous streak. Emails may wander. Schedules may wobble. The trickster may tangle with you. If that happens, remember: we are all in the Divine Entertainment Business. Laughter is holy medicine for the nervous system. It releases happy hormones and dissolves mental mayhem quickly.

Truly, all that is required is that we give our best. Some days our best is luminous. Some days our best needs a nap. Celebrate it all. Cultivate the graces of Pisces: compassion, patience, gentleness, kindness — especially toward yourself.

Slow down. Listen inward. Refine what matters.

And if Mercury hides your car keys, laugh… then check the refrigerator.

More soon as we have a total lunar eclipse on March 3. Until then, remember, Mercury retrograde in Pisces isn’t happening to you. It’s happening within you — inviting your mind and heart into deeper coherence. This is the heart of my next book: The Sky Within You. Astrology is about partnering with the cosmic rhythms already alive within you and supporting you to create high quality life experiences.
