The Solstice of Revelation: Soulful Nourishment

Through the alchemy of presence, something beautiful emerges.

The June Solstice arrives this year hand-in-hand with Father's Day, creating a lovely symbolic bridge between the light of the Sun and the archetype of wise stewardship, protection, guidance, and care. As we honor fathers, mentors, guides, protectors, and the sacred masculine in all its healthy expressions, we are also invited to cultivate those qualities within ourselves. True strength does not come from relentless striving. It comes from creating safety, nourishment, wisdom, and steadiness for ourselves and others.

At the Solstice, the Sun begins a new seasonal chapter as it enters Cancer, the sign associated with home, nourishment, belonging, and emotional well-being. The invitation of Cancer season is not merely to ask what we want to achieve. It is to ask what truly nourishes us. What fortifies your spirit? What creates a sense of home within you? What supports your nervous system in relaxing and softening? What helps you remember who you are? These are the seeds we are being invited to plant and cultivate between now and the September Equinox.

Adding emphasis to this Cancerian theme is Jupiter, which is completing its journey through Cancer before entering Leo on June 30. Jupiter's final days in Cancer encourage us to expand our capacity for self-care, emotional authenticity, and belonging before shifting our attention toward a new chapter of self-expression, creativity, and sovereignty.

Yet perhaps the most fascinating energies of this Solstice involve revelation. the nodal axis is creating a dynamic pattern of adjustment and awakening. The North Node in Pisces is quincunx Neptune, its ruler, and square Uranus. The South Node in Virgo is quincunx Pluto. Taken together, these energies suggest revelations that feed welcomed change—revelations that expose what has become too small for who we are becoming.

We may discover that old assumptions no longer fit who we are becoming. We may find ourselves adjusting long-held beliefs, releasing habits rooted in fear, perfectionism, or control, and opening to a larger vision for our lives.  Uranus often arrives as an awakening. Pluto reveals what has outlived its purpose. Neptune invites surrender to something greater than the personality's plans. The message feels less like disruption and more like evolution.

Meanwhile, The Solstice Moon in Virgo forms supportive aspects to Mercury in Cancer and Mars in Taurus, creating fertile ground for practical insights, grounded action, and the ability to make choices that support our well-being. The cosmos seem eager to help us free our minds, hearts, and daily lives from burdens that no longer serve us.

Adding to this theme, Chiron has recently entered Taurus, directing attention toward healing our relationship with self-worth, sustainability, values, and deservedness. Many people may find themselves exploring questions such as: Am I allowing myself to receive the support, love, abundance, and beauty that life is offering? Can I trust myself to build a life that reflects my true values? Am I carrying burdens that no longer belong to me?

Saturn in Aries adds another layer of wisdom. This placement teaches mastery of "I AM" energy. It asks us to bring our intentions, actions, and identity into greater alignment with our integrity. Rather than reacting from old conditioning, Saturn in Aries encourages us to consciously choose who we are becoming.

As I sat with these energies, one theme emerged repeatedly: This Solstice is not asking us to become worthy. It is asking us to remember we are inherently worthy. Many of us spend years carrying invisible burdens. We carry expectations, old fears, outdated responsibilities, and stories that once helped us survive but no longer help us thrive. The Solstice energies encourage: Remember what nourishes you. Remember what matters. Remember who you are.

The deepest Solstice revelation may be beautifully simple: Just set down what no longer needs to be carried. Forget about thinking something is broken and needs to be fixed. That’s Divine Intelligence’s business. Your business is to focus on what matters, nourishes you, feels like home, and relaxes your nervous system.

The Sun's light reminds us that we do not have to earn our place in life. We belong here. And as this Solstice opens the doorway to a new season, may we allow ourselves to release what has become too heavy, receive what nourishes us, and step forward with greater trust in the unfolding path.

Yes please! My wish is that this Solstice season be exquisitely filled with all the things that nourish your soul.

P.S. While I was writing this blog, a spider was crawling up the window screen in front of me. A creature that creates from its own substance, without concern about how it’s perceived by others. The spider weaves because weaving is its nature. It creates because creating is what it is.

And I find myself wondering: What if everything we do are webs? Checking email, conversations, dishes, acts of kindness, tears, laughter, all of it...are webs of creation—expressions of our being. Hmmm. I like that! A profoundly different way to perceive the moments that fill our daily lives.

P.P.S. Thank you to all that took advantage of receiving the free e-book copy of The Sky Within You. I’m planning another promotion with a sale on the paperback, (which is being published on lower carbon paper), to celebrate Independence Day. Stay tuned!
